In the current conflict between the SAC and the KIA in Kachin State, the SAC has experienced significant losses of military installations. Additionally, there has been a notable rise in indiscriminate aerial bombardments targeting civilian regions that have not been involved in any skirmishes.

On January 11, at approximately 12:00 PM, aircraft departing from Mandalay Tadar Oo released two bombs over the SanLun gold mining site located in the Tanai region. This tragic incident resulted in the deaths of 18 individuals, including a one-year-old child, and left 10 others with severe injuries.

Currently, the Tanai region is free from active conflict; however, unprovoked airstrikes have resulted in damage to nine (9) shops in the SanLun gold mining area. This incident has led to casualties, with those severely injured receiving medical care at the San Lun Medical Center.

The SAC has consistently urged ethnic armed groups to engage in discussions regarding a political solution for peace in Myanmar; however, it has simultaneously intensified its airstrike operations.

On January 8, a fighter jet from Myitkyina conducted a bombing raid on the KIA Brigade (9) and Battalion (6) located in the Hpakant area, resulting in the death of 45-year-old Daw Lu Pan and causing damage to multiple shops.
