Residents report that the SAC and the joint militia forces have established checkpoints at the junction near Ying Hkaw village, located 8 miles from Myitkyina, where they are rigorously interrogating individuals passing by and demanding payments.
The entity mentioned above is reportedly mobilizing and executing military operations in the vicinity of the Palana- ( Mile area, having been positioned at the Ying Hkaw intersection for almost four days.
“Five soldiers, fully attired in military uniforms and equipped with firearms, have been stationed at the intersection of Ying Hkaw for approximately four days. They have been halting and inspecting vehicles transporting heavy cargo as well as pedestrians. Their movements have been confined to an ( Mile area. Their primary objective is to collect money,” said a local resident.

The SAC forces have allegedly intensified their military operations in Myitkyina, engaging in phone checks, inspecting vehicles and motorcycles, and conducting random inquiries with residents.
The SAC has also maintained a presence at a checkpoint in Lamung Zup village, located approximately (15) miles from Myitkyina, for almost five months. Reports indicate that they occasionally solicit money from individuals passing by and conduct interrogations.
