The SAC forces are allegedly interrogating individuals passing by and gathering the names of shops from residents at various intersections and along major roads in Myitkyina.
On February 22, approximately ten individuals, presumed to be associates of the SAC, entered various stores along Sitapru University Road to gather the names of the shops.
Recently, Myitkyina has implemented strict measures against motorcycle riders who are not wearing helmets, subjecting them to severe penalties and interrogations. Reports indicate that a fine of 20,000 kyats is being imposed for each motorcycle that is confiscated.
Recently, the SAC forces have been conducting thorough interrogations of individuals, motorcycles, and vehicles traversing through LanKwa Village and the Kyauk Taung checkpoint in Nammati Township.
Local residents report that the SAC and militia are presently collaborating in Nammati town to enhance security within the village and carry out military operations.
