As said by the residents, the road from Mount Nant Moon in Gwi Hka Ward to Hpakant-Mandalay highway road has been closed indefinitely since April 10, approximately at 2:00 PM.
According to a school teacher who was assigned in Hpakant, “I was assigned in Hpakant, and I returned to my parents’ house in Mohnyin for a while. I was planning to return to Hpakant tomorrow. But I can't go back tomorrow, because the road is closed from this afternoon,” she said.
