It has been reported that, despite the KIA joint forces having fully attacked and taken control of the Hpakant, Seng Tawng, Chipwi, and Sawlaw regions in early October, the local residents who evacuated due to the conflicts have not yet returned to their homes, primarily due to ongoing concerns regarding the security of their areas.

Colonel Naw Bu stated that land clearance is currently underway in the areas that are presently occupied. However, due to local security concerns, it remains unfeasible for those fleeing the conflict to return and reside in these regions.

The SAC forces are reportedly making continuous efforts to reclaim territories they have lost. In the event that they are unsuccessful in this endeavor, they are resorting to aerial bombardments aimed at obliterating these areas. Consequently, there is growing apprehension regarding the safety of local residents who are returning to their homes.

The inhabitants of the Hpakant-Seng Tawng region remain unable to return to their residences. Additionally, individuals from Chipwi and Sawlaw are seeking refuge in adjacent villages and forests, with many also relocating to Myitkyina. Furthermore, local residents have indicated that they will return to their homes once the military conditions in the area stabilize.

The KIA joint forces are reported to have launched attacks and successfully seized control of Chipwi Town on September 29th, followed by the capture of Saw Law Town on October 2nd. Furthermore, as the KIA joint forces persist in their offensive operations, the military situation in the region between Chipwi and Pang Wa remains intense at the present.
