Passenger car drivers have reported that the Myitkyina-Mandalay Indaw ring road, which was previously closed due to armed clashes between two factions, has now resumed normal operations.

As a result of the escalating armed conflicts between the State Administration Council (SAC) and the People's Defense Forces, the Myitkyina-Mandalay highway, which had been operational since November 1, has been temporarily shut down once more by the SAC.

The closure of the Inndaw ring road in Sagaing Division was necessitated by the escalation of armed conflicts between the State Administration Council (SAC) and the Joint Anti-Coup Armed Forces in the area. Additionally, it has been reported that the ring road was reopened on November 7th.

It has been nearly four months since the Inndaw ring road has been utilized by the public, following the closure of the Myitkyina-Mandalay highway by the two -armed forces on August 17th.

Following the road closure, all goods transportation has ceased. Consequently, certain supplies in the Myitkyina region have been isolated, leading to a significant increase in prices. Passenger car drivers report that the Myitkyina-Mandalay Inndaw ring road is also frequently obstructed by the SAC on a temporary basis.

At present, the cost of traveling by car from Myitkyina to Mandalay is between 100,000 and 150,000 kyats. Additionally, it has been reported that the bus fare for the Mandalay-Hpakant route is 350,000 kyats for the front seat and 300,000 kyats for the back seat.
