The Laiza-Mai Ja Yang highway in the KIO controlled area, which were destructed by the heavy rainfalls and floods are reported to repair by the KIO government.
It is known that, the highway has been damaged since July and the journey which took a day, had to sleep over a night on the way. In addition, only the off-road car brands, such as Pajero, Parado and 4xWheels could be able to difficultly pass through the path and the other mini cars couldn’t able to pass.
The Laiza-Mai Ja Yang highway is the main route for the local residents’ transportation. In addition, the price of the passenger car for the journey cost more than a hundred China Yuan (more than 100,000 Myanmar Kyats) per person, but at the present it has risen to more than 200 China Yuan (more than 200,000 Myanmar Kyats).
Moreover, as explained by passenger car drivers, the Laiza-Mai Ja Yang highway has been destructed by the heavy rainfalls and landslides which occurred in July.
