Over 800 displaced families residing in Mang Win Gyi village, located in Mansi township of Kachin State, are in urgent need of food, warm clothing, and blankets, as reported by an official from the Mang Win Gyi IDP camp.

Individuals who relocated to Mang Win Gyi village as a result of the recent armed conflict last December are currently in urgent need of food, warm clothing, blankets, medical supplies, bedding, and various household items.

The internally displaced persons (IDPs) encompass the elderly, pregnant women, children, and individuals with chronic health conditions, all of whom face significant challenges in accessing healthcare services.

The IDPs originate from the Bhamo, Mansi, and Momauk areas and have not received support from any social assistance organization. The existing IDP camp is reportedly facing challenges not only due to a lack of adequate assistance but also because of insufficient accommodation.

The Catholic Church and the Baptist Church are tasked with the care of the evacuees, overseeing 483 residences in the IDP camp managed by the Catholic Church and 325 residences in the IDP camp operated by the Baptist Church.

The conflict in Bhamo remains intense, and as a result of the disruption of telephone and internet services, individuals have been dispersed and have sought refuge in safer locations. Additionally, there are many who have lost communication with their family members.
