The conflict was fierce in the vicinity of the SAC’s 21st Battalion in Bhamo, where the KIA joint forces had engaged in combat for more than a month. On January 26, they succeeded in seizing control of several nearby outposts, including portions of the airport, as reported by a local resident.

The source close to the frontline stated, "It can be asserted that the airport has been largely seized. However, given its proximity to the 21st Battalion, it appears that the airport and the military have effectively combined operations. Consequently, while they have occupied the airport, complete control has not yet been established. Ongoing confrontations continue as they advance towards the SAC's military camp."

He stated that the airport is currently managed by the KIA joint forces; however, they have not yet established complete control and have not succeeded in securing the area.

Following the seizure of the airport and the armored battalion on January 26, the SAC initiated a substantial bombardment utilizing airstrikes, drones, and heavy weaponry, with reports indicating that nearly 40 airstrikes were conducted.

On January 25, the KIA joint force successfully seized the 7006th Armored Battalion, along with the capture of seven armored vehicles associated with the battalion.

Currently, the KIA joint forces continue to assault the remaining SAC bases, specifically targeting the 47th Infantry Battalion, 641st Artillery Battalion, 21st Battalion, 88th Battalion, and the 4th Mile Battalion.
