The conflict between the SAC and the KIA joint forces remains severe in the areas surrounding Bhamo and Mansi Towns. Additionally, it has been reported that numerous residents are stranded within the city as a result of the blockade of both the city's entry and exit points, as well as the waterways.

As the skirmish commenced, the residents of Bhamo town began to evacuate from the waterway. However, a local inhabitant reported that the State Administration Council (SAC) has since closed the waterway in Bhamo town as of the afternoon of December 4th.

“In the morning, when the conflict erupted, the majority managed to flee by boat to the best of their ability. However, by the afternoon, the SAC had positioned themselves along the riverbanks and effectively blocked the waterway,” he stated.

The SAC has also restricted access to the waterway and the entry and exit points of Bhamo town, effectively confining the local population to their homes. Furthermore, it was reported that SAC forces have opened fire on residents who attempt to leave their houses.

“They closed all the exits, exacerbating the situation. I am unable to leave my home. Individuals who venture outside are pursued and shot at with firearms by the SAC,” he stated.

It is reported that over ten individuals sustained injuries due to indiscriminate heavy artillery fire during the two-day clashes in Bhamo and Mansi. The offensive initiated by the KIA joint forces on December 4 aims to seize full control of the Bhamo region, encompassing Mansi city. Furthermore, approximately ten military camps belonging to the SAC have been taken over by the KIA joint forces at this time.
