Reports indicate that daily confrontations between the KIA joint forces and the SAC forces continue to occur in the Momauk region, situated in the Sagaing-Kachin border area, which also includes the border with China.

The KIA has initiated a campaign aimed at the total dismantling of the dictatorial administrative system. At present, the joint forces of the KIA have taken control of numerous locations along the border, and the KIO administrative framework has begun to function.

Currently, it is acknowledged that hostilities between the joint forces of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA), People's Defense Force (PDF), and ABSDF against the State Administration Council (SAC) forces from the No. (77) battalion have been ongoing since August 16th. Furthermore, the KIA joint forces successfully captured the Myo Ma police station and the general administration office. Nevertheless, the armed confrontations, which had subsided during October, intensified once more at the beginning of November.

Additionally, reports indicate that daily clashes have escalated in Aung May village, located near the SAC’s No (437) Infantry Battalion in Momauk, since early November. It has also been noted that the SAC is bolstering its military presence by deploying 3 to 4 tanks twice weekly and initiating an offensive aimed at regaining control of the No (437) Infantry Battalion, which has been seized by the KIA joint forces.

The KIA has indicated that the conflict has escalated over the past three months following the SAC's reinforcement of its troops in the Momok region, and that hostilities will persist until the SAC forces are withdrawn.

It is important to highlight that the clashes were intense across numerous townships during the offensive launched by the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) joint forces in Kachin State. Furthermore, the KIA successfully captured hundreds of military camps belonging to the State Administration Council (SAC) and took control of several locations, including Sumpra Bum, N Jang Yang, Myo Hla, Sin Bo, Momauk, Sawlaw, Chipwi, and Pang Wa. Additionally, it is reported that the only remaining area yet to be occupied by the KIA is Kanpaik Ti town, located within Kachin Special Region – 1.
