Residents report that parents are concerned about the health of their children, as the children in Hpare Village, Chipwi Township, Kachin State, are not receiving their scheduled monthly vaccinations.

The mothers indicated that the challenges in vaccinating have arisen from a shortage of medicine, transportation difficulties, and the suspension of vaccine support, which has persisted for nearly a year.

The challenging transportation conditions, coupled with the rigorous interrogations carried out by the SAC and militia forces en route, resulted in the halt of vaccine supplies from Social Relief Associations.

In the past, children under the age of one in Phare village received monthly vaccinations for measles, mumps, and other diseases. The most recent vaccination campaign took place in February 2023, facilitated by a Humanitarian Organization. Since that time, there has been a lack of medical supplies, resulting in all children being unable to receive their routine vaccinations.
