Numerous reports indicate that several residences were burglarized while residents were evacuated for their safety amid the conflicts occurring in Chipwi Town, Kachin State.

A local resident reported that once the skirmish commenced, individuals secured their homes and businesses and sought refuge. As the entire city evacuated, thieves took advantage of the situation, breaking in and stealing valuable possessions and cash.

The residents of Chipwi town were displaced from their homes and businesses as a result of the armed-conflicts. They secured their belongings and were subsequently relocated to a safe area.

The homes, shops, grocery stores and restaurants of the local residents in Chipwi Town were subjected to break-ins, during which thieves made off with valuable possessions, including cash and various useful items.

The Kachin Independence Army (KIA) joint forces launched an assault and seized control of Chipwi on September 29th. In the course of the conflict, the SAC forces employed airstrikes, prompting local residents of Chipwi to evacuate to safer areas.
