The KIO Education Headquarters announced the release of the 2023-2024 academic year matriculation exam results today, May 1st, in the KIO controlled area near the China-Myanmar border.
This year, a total of 3,126 10th-grade students participated in the exam. Among them, 1,893 students passed, while 1,233 students did not meet the requirements for passing.
Students who did not pass the exam have the opportunity to register their names at nearby schools for a chance to retake the exam. They will only need to retake the subjects they failed in.
Furthermore, students who previously failed the matriculation exam are permitted to retake it up to three times during the current academic year 2023-2024. The exam retakes are scheduled to take place in early June this year.
The decision to allow exam retakes is in anticipation of opening the eleventh and twelfth grades in the next academic year, providing students with additional opportunities to succeed.
