As a result of the renewed armed confrontations involving the Shanni militia under the SAC and K-PDF in Kachin State, particularly in the Indawgyi area of Mohnyin District since November 12th, roadways have been obstructed, leaving over 3,000 vehicles stranded at the Nant Si Aung Gate on the Kachin-Sagaing border, as reported by a traveler.

A female traveler reported that the area is congested with more than 3,000 vehicles, which include fuel tankers, 12-wheelers, 6-wheelers, rickshaws, and motorbikes transporting goods. The road is lined with three rows of cars, causing even motorcycles to navigate slowly through the traffic. Travelers are experiencing challenges due to the overcrowding, high temperatures, and dusty environment. Additionally, local restaurants have run out of food due to the influx of visitors, leaving her unable to purchase a meal.

A woman journeying to Inndaw - Myitkyina reported that obtaining food along the route is challenging, and they are required to pay 3,000 Kyats for a bottle of water.

It has been reported that the ongoing conflict along the Mandalay-Myitkyina Highway has resulted in the closure of the Inndaw road. Consequently, there has been a significant rise in the prices of goods in Mohnyin, while the availability of essential items such as medicine and food has diminished considerably.

The number of local residents who have sought safety due to the renewed conflict between the Shanni militia, operating under the military council, and the K-PDF has reportedly risen.

Local residents have reported that both armed forces incurred casualties as a result of the renewed skirmishes. Furthermore, five residences in the village of Sa Nuin Kone were set ablaze by the Shanni Militia.

The Shanni militia burnt down five residences to ashes. Consequently, the residents whose homes were destroyed currently have no place to live. Many individuals who attempted to escape to Mohnyin, where their relatives reside, were compelled to return to Inndawgyi due to the Shanni militia's obstruction of their departure. Furthermore, some locals who managed to evacuate to other cities are also encountering challenges regarding their housing, as reported by a resident of Sanuin Kone village.

The evacuees from the Nyaung Pin IDP camp, along with the local residents who fled to Nant Mauk Kan village, are currently subsisting solely on porridge due to the impediments affecting the transportation of food and medical supplies.
