The body of a murdered woman, wrapped and bound, was discovered in the garbage dump of B.E.H.S (6) in Injang Dung Ward, along Tatkone Road in Myitkyina, Kachin State.
A social relief organization transported the body to Myitkyina General Hospital, where an examination revealed multiple bruises, signs of severe beating, and restraints. Her legs were bound with a bike chain, her neck was tightly tied with a nylon rope, and her face showed numerous bruises, according to a member of the relief team.
"Her face and body were covered in bruises. Her neck and legs were tied with ropes, and her legs were further secured with a bike chain," a relief organization member reported.
A local source stated that the victim’s identity remains unknown, preventing authorities from notifying her family.
Crime rates in Myitkyina have been rising, with an increase in thefts, robberies, and violent crimes, including murder and disappearances, compared to previous years.
On the night of February 28, another woman was fatally stabbed in Sitapru Ward, Myitkyina.
