According to the Banmaw Scout Team, which is reporting on the situation in the region the KIA joint forces have once again warned the 47th Infantry Battalion to surrender in the skirmish for Bhamo, Kachin State.
The anti-coup armed forces, under the command of the KIA, are presently involved in a fierce confrontation with the 47th Infantry Battalion, and the conflict remains highly intense.
Following the capture of Mansi by KIA and allied forces, hostilities escalated for the 47th Infantry Battalion in Bhamo. This situation led the anti-coup armed forces to issue another warning to the 47th Infantry Battalion, demanding their surrender.
Most regions in Bhamo are under the control of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA). Currently, the 21st Infantry Battalion of the State Administration Council (SAC) is engaged in combat, along with other battalions that are also facing assaults. Reports indicate that the SAC is conducting airstrikes at least three times daily.
The KIA and allied forces have been engaged in offensive operations in the Bhamo conflict for more than 40 days, commencing on December 4.
