The SAC has been engaged in an intense campaign of artillery and aerial bombardments during the civil war in Myanmar. This has included airstrikes on civilian regions devoid of any conflict, leading to hundreds of civilian casualties in the months that have followed, as reported by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP).

In the last four months, reports indicate that over 100 individuals have lost their lives due to artillery fire from the SACs, while airstrikes have resulted in the deaths of 240 civilians throughout Myanmar, bringing the total fatalities to more than 300.

The fatalities resulting from artillery and airstrikes carried out by the SAC encompass 66 children below the age of 18. Furthermore, the areas with the highest casualty rates from airstrikes are identified as Sagaing Region, Rakhine State, and Shan State, as reported by the AAPP on December 11. It is also noted that the data referenced in the AAPP's statement pertains to the period from August 1st, 2024, to November 30th, 2024.

Local news sources indicate that close to 100 civilians have lost their lives in the ongoing conflict for the town of Bhamo in Kachin State, attributed to the heavy artillery and aerial strikes conducted by the SAC. However, the ongoing phone and internet disruptions have made it challenging to gather precise information.
