Reports indicate ongoing fierce clashes between the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and the Military Council forces in the Momauk area, specifically in the No. 3 Brigade, No. 15 Battalion zone of the KIA.

The conflict reignited on June 25th when the KIA attacked the Military Council's Kh.L.Y 437th unit, which had been moving in a column.

As the battle intensified, the Military Council troops responded with rockets and airstrikes. Additionally, the Military Council has been conducting convoy operations from Bhamo to Mansi.

Simultaneously, a skirmish occurred yesterday in the Hpakant area between KIA joint forces and the Military Council during a military operation. During the clash near Seng Taung village, Hpakant town, the Military Council's use of heavy weapons caused explosions and fires in homes in Lon Khin village.

Recent days have seen heightened military activities from both sides in Hpakant Township, with tensions remaining high.
