Colonel Naw Bu reported that the armed conflict between the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) joint forces and the State Administration Council (SAC) forces in Kachin State persists on a daily basis. Furthermore, the ongoing aerial bombardments conducted by the SAC in regions held by the KIA joint forces have exacerbated the situation, making the prospect of peace increasingly elusive.

Conversely, while discussions are ongoing regarding the resolution of political issues through political means, the SAC is engaging in war crimes and executing a series of targeted assaults on civilians. Colonel Naw Bu, responsible for KIO news and information, emphasized that these actions further complicate the peace situation in Myanmar and intensify public animosity towards the SAC.

A local resident who has returned to Sum Pra Bum stated that, "At present, most of the locals are coming back to their homes, and it is necessary to remove the weapons that were left behind following the conflict in the city. Officials are supplying food, but my primary concern is the aerial bombardment carried out by the SAC. We must exercise caution, as the SAC has been conducting these airstrikes indiscriminately."

In recent days, the State Administration Council (SAC) has persistently targeted regions held by anti-coup armed forces. On November 15, two jet fighters conducted an airstrike on a Kachin Baptist Church located in Myo Thit Kone Law Village, which was under the control of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA), resulting in the deaths of 9 civilians, including children.

Similarly, on November 18th, a bombing by the SAC in Lan Sel Village, Saw Law Township, which occupied by the KIA, led to the tragic loss of three children. Furthermore, in the area controlled by the TNLA in Kut Hkai, Northern Shan State, a bombing attack at midnight on November 17 resulted in the deaths of three civilians, including one child, and left 13 others with serious injuries.

The KIA forces are persistently seizing control of the SAC military camps across Kachin state, while the SAC is consistently conducting bombardments on the regions held by the KIA.
