Fierce fighting has erupted between the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and Warazup militia forces near Shaduzup Village in Hpakant Township, according to local reports.

The conflict began on the morning of March 14, when KIA joint forces launched an attack on approximately 50 members of the Warazup militia, which operates under the military council, as they advanced toward the Wa Hka military base.

Heavy clashes are ongoing in the Warazup area, with reports indicating that the military council deployed two jet fighters to drop aerial bombs on Nam Sai Village—an area where no active fighting was taking place.

In recent days, the military council has been accused of indiscriminate airstrikes and drone attacks in non-combat zones. Meanwhile, KIA-affiliated forces continue their offensive on the S.K.Hk (21) camp in the Bhamo region, where military council troops are retaliating with sustained airstrikes, drone operations, and heavy artillery.
