Clashes Erupt Between Myanmar Military and KIA Joint Forces Near San Hka Village in Waingmaw Township

Fighting broke out between the Myanmar military (SAC) and joint forces of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) near San Hka Village in Waingmaw Township, according to local sources.


The clash occurred yesterday, March 26, around 5:30 AM, when SAC troops advanced toward positions held by KIA allied forces near San Hka Village, leading to an armed confrontation.


Additionally, in the areas surrounding Waingmaw and Lamyang Village, the military has been increasing its presence alongside pro-junta militia groups, frequently engaging in skirmishes with KIA units.


Meanwhile, in Lawa Village, tensions remain high as SAC troops and the pro-military Min Zay Thant People’s Militia continue to clash with KIA forces. Both sides remain in a standoff, with ongoing military operations reported at the time of this news release.
