A civilian was injured, and several properties were destroyed when a military jet dropped bombs near the Kwin Gyi intersection in Pauk Kone village, Tigyaing Township, Sagaing Region, according to local sources.
"The military dropped two bombs from a fighter jet, injuring a 49-year-old man in the leg. Five houses were destroyed, three buffaloes were killed, and a gas station was burned down," a local resident reported.
The airstrike took place at around 5:00 p.m. on March 8 while clashes were ongoing between the military council and the People’s Defense Forces (PDF) near Tigyaing village. However, Kwin Gyi village itself was not a site of active fighting, leading locals to believe the attack deliberately targeted civilians.
