Local news reports indicate that the Chinese authorities have reopened the border trade gates as of November 24th, following the capture and control of the last remaining Chinese border town of Kanpaik Ti by the KIA joint forces. Nevertheless, cargo trucks from the Chinese side have yet to enter Kanpaik Ti.

It has been reported that banana trucks from China, originating from the Myanmar border, have commenced their exports to China; however, trucks from the Chinese side have yet to cross into Myanmar.

The commencement of attacks by the KIA joint forces on the Chinese border region has resulted in the closure of border trade gates by the Chinese authorities. Consequently, the movement of goods in and out of Kachin State has been halted, leading to a significant surge in the prices of fuel and other commodities in the cities of Myitkyina and Waing Maw.

At present, numerous gas stations in Myitkyina are closed, forcing residents to wait in line for a limited duration to purchase gasoline. The price of gasoline per liter has increased from 15,000 kyats to 20,000 kyats at roadside vendors, and there is a significant shortage of fuel.

As of November 18th, it has been reported that the Kanpaik Ti gate, which serves as a border trade entry point with China, was closed prior to the capture of Kanpaik Ti town by the KIA joint forces. Furthermore, the gate was reopened on November 25th.

Currently, it has been reported that none of the Chinese border trade gates in Kachin State have been reopened.
