The accused Ye Yint Aung, who allegedly stabbed a woman to death in Sitarpru Ward, Myitkyina, will face another court hearing at Myitkyina Court on April 5 on murder charges, according to the victim's younger sister.

The 28-year-old suspect is accused of killing 25-year-old Ma Hnin Yu Wei with a two-foot-long "Nyet-Gyi-Taung" knife on February 28 at around 7:30 PM.

The accused was initially charged at Myitkyina Court and first interrogated on March 3. The upcoming hearing on April 5 will mark the second court examination of the case.

The victim and her sister, originally from Magway Region, had worked for three months at “Myat Pan Shan” garment shop in Sitarpru Ward's Ngwe Pyaw Kaung area. They reportedly quit on February 25 after a pricing dispute with the shop owner - the accused Mr. Ye Yint Aung.

On the night of February 28, the victim was returning home from using Wi-Fi to get her phone, when she was attacked and killed by the suspect.
