Local news reports indicate that access to the main road of the SAC's No. (58) Infantry Battalion, the sole military camp remaining in WaingMaw Township, as well as the Wu Yang militia checkpoints, have been abruptly prohibited. It has now been four days since this road was closed.

The checkpoints were temporarily shut down on November 25th and have remained permanently closed since November 26th.

The 58th Infantry Battalion of the SAC and the Wu Yang Militia checkpoints are situated along the route connecting WaingMaw to Kanpaik Ti. Furthermore, it has been reported that all cargo trucks, motorcycles, and passenger vehicles are prohibited from using this road. Nevertheless, certain local inhabitants have indicated that only Chinese tissue banana trucks traveling from WaingMaw to Kanpaik Ti are permitted to proceed.

In the previous, the SAC frequently imposed temporary closures on the Waing Maw-Washawng road based on the prevailing military circumstances. On November 21, access to the Balamin Tin Bridge spanning the Irrawaddy River, which links Waing Maw and Myitkyina, was also temporarily restricted.

Furthermore, it has been reported that the SAC executed a drone strike on the Irrigation Department office located in Wa Shawng Village, which was under the control of KIA joint forces in WaingMaw Township, on November 26th.
