A woman identified as Daw Ma Ma Gyi, who had been engaging in business transactions with the SAC, was apprehended by an unidentified armed group in the Inn Daw Gyi region of Mohnyin Township, Kachin State. Local residents report being unable to establish contact with her up to the present day.
According to a local source, "She is involved in fuel sales and maintains close ties with the SAC. She oversees tax collection on fuel and explosives within mining areas at numerous checkpoints alongside the SAC. Fuel tankers are granted passage only under Daw Ma Ma Gyi's authorization. She holds a significant position within the SAC's network."
Daw Ma Ma Gyi was detained by an unidentified armed faction while shopping at Nant Mun Market on April 23rd. Individuals acquainted with her have not had any communication with her since the day of her arrest.
Local residents assert that Daw Ma Ma Gyi exercised control over the fuel market supplying Inn Daw Gyi and surrounding mining zones following the coup d'état, engaging in business collaborations with the SAC.
The community remains uninformed about the identity of the armed group responsible for Daw Ma Ma Gyi's arrest, and no further updates have been received as of today.
